?? If I drive my car like a grandpa highway driving I'll get 7.8L/100. 72 litre tank, that's 920 kms. Why is it so hard to believe?Originally Posted by adcha1

my fuel economy has gone to **** recently, but you get that when you keep holding off a much needed service (200 000kms major one coming up). Spending about $1500 on it soon though, and hopefully she'll be apples again![]()
FWIW, i used to get about 11 for city driving, now its about 12.5-13![]()
manual TE 3.0 dead
Did a big highway trip with a 3 people in the car, air con on, did 458ks and averaged 7.2lt per 100ks
To many cars in the world, not enough years in my life to enjoy them!

Since I've had the Haltech installed and my car's been tuned to run 98 ron fuels, my economy has been nothing short of excellent. I've just run the first tank of Optimax through it and my combined cycle is reading 9.9 on the trip computer and I've done just on 670kms and have about 6 or 7 litres left in the tank. When I fill up tomorrow I'll get an accurate reading of average fuel used. But I'm very happy.
Damn that's pretty good mate, i can get under 10 if i do more than 50% highway driving, but at the moment 50/50 is giving me about 10.5L/100km.Originally Posted by Disciple

I've had mine for 14months now (24000kms) and am getting 480km for 64ltrs using BP
(450km using caltex). That's 30%city/60%suburban/10% highway with two people on
board for 90% and 10% with two plus toddler for the city section, 45% by myself, 45%
with two people and 10% with two people plus a todler for the suburban section, and 50%
by myselft and 50% with two people plus a todler for the highway section. I also tend to
gun it at the lights if I'm by myself.
I did manage to get 515km for 64 litres one time when I did not gun the car at all for the
same above scenario.
